Call to order: 6:35 PM
1. Issue: Minutes – David K moved to accept the September minutes as written. Ruben seconded. Minutes approved unanimously.
2. Issue: Treasurer’s report – Profit & loss for the waiters’ dinner was reviewed. Mike moved to accept the treasurer’s report as submitted. Bill seconded. The treasurer’s report was approved unanimously.
3. Issue: News & Reviews – There was discussion about whether to continue using color vs staying with Mailing & More if their color copier is taken off line. The general consensus was that the newsletter should have color. Options were discussed.
4. Issue: Calendar of Events –

5. Issue: I Madonnari – Was a success. Thanks to Amelia for coordinating the art.
6. Issue: Mardi Gras Coronation – Good turn out. Several hundred dollars went to ASN.
7. Issue: A Night in Venice – Many thanks to Robert, Bill, and Ruben from the board for organizing and putting on such a fun and profitable event.
8. Issue: Family Values Picnic – Danny moved that a budget of $150 be approved for the picnic. Eveline 2nd. Motion carried unanimously.
9. Issue: Candidate’s Forum – David K moved that a budget of $400 be approved for the forum (wine & food) and to print and mail out the results of the questionnaire. Ruben 2nd. Motion carried unanimously. 10 candidates have RSVP’d. 21 have returned questionnaires.
10. Issue: Halloween Dance – Ruben moved that a budget of $2000 be approved for the dance. Mike 2nd. Motion carried unanimously.

11. Issue: Holiday Party & Awards Banquet – The menu is set. Shannon agreed to ask Mo to DJ for 2 hours with CD music for dinner. Members are asked to bring their nominations for awards to the next meeting. Robert will bring a budget to the next meeting.
12. Issue: Women’s Dance – Danny moved that a budget of $1400 be approved for the dance. Amelia 2nd. Motion carried with Ruben abstaining.

13. Issue: GTI Grant proposals – Robert will get them signed.
14. Issue: Center renovations – Danny stated that rents may be coming down and better/cheaper locations may be available for the GALA Center, which would obviate the need for renovation. Members are encouraged to research the issue to discuss next meeting. It was agreed that the grant committee that funded our renovation proposal would be contacted prior to using their money for a new space.
15. Issue: Bible study group – It was agreed that a Bible study group would be welcome to use the Center to meet providing the usual application process is followed.
